4 Angels From Above

Instead of worrying about what our children will become tomorrow, remember that they are somebody today.

Jesus Came Back.

This week I have made my goal to help Spencer experience everything there is to enjoy at Easter time. So we started on Monday during family home evening. We had a fun dinner and treats, and a lesson on the resurection of Jesus Christ. It was a very short lesson totally kids oriented from the nurssery manual. We colored Jesus and His tumb. And as I was telling him the story we were acting it out with our cut outs. After I finished I asked him, so Jesus died and than what happened. And he said in a very pround and confident tone. "HE CAME BACK" That is right he did and he lives today as proof that some day we will live again with him. I was the proudest mom and felt very accomplished when he explained to someone else the next day that JESUS CAME BACK. My 3 year old was teaching about Christ already.

Anyways we colored eggs as our activity. It is not a tradition in BraZil or Spain to color eggs. Neither Borja nor I had ever done it. But we let Spencer color 2 eggs one for him and one for Stephanie. He had fun. We did not know what do to with the eggs after they were done. I did not know the American tradition all that well. So we left them on the counter for decor for 2 days, than they were trashed.

We did learned how fun it is to color eggs. Even Daddy colored them, here we are at the Martin Home coloring them. Now we know you can hide them... Or IMAGINE this. Eat them. Well now we know.

One MESSY Bunny.

Looking back when I was growing up, I don't remember easter very much. Of course I always got the candy, and looked forward to it. But there is one that I will never forget. I woke up to find Bunny prints all over my house leading me to a basket full of goodies hidden in my parents room. Well I want that to be something my children will remember also. So we had a messy bunny, Spencer was more worried about cleaning it up this morning than following it to his basket. But he loved it and told everyone at church.

Egg Hunts!

We had fun this year watching Spencer discovering Easter. Today we had spent the sunday with our friends James and Wendy and their children at her dad's house. Or as Spencer called him PAPAW. Living in Tennessee too long already. But we had a great time, and an Egg Hunt. He loved finding the eggs. It was just too cute to see.

We also had an Egg Hunt on Friday, with our MOPS Group. It was Spencer first Egg Hunt, so he would pick one egg put it in the basket and look at me to ask if it was okay to pick another one. I have had so much fun with Easter this year. Having children is such a blessing and they make life fun and entertaining.

They are BEAUTIFUL

It's Easter, and we stayed after church today and took some pictures. I don't know if its just because they are mine, but I think they are just the most beutiful kids. Here is why...

What a blessing...

The other night we had a very strong storm during the night. We put the kids to sleep and Borja wanted to watch a movie, I am glad I fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed. Around midnight, I hear a scream next to me. I jumped out of bed with my heart pretty much in my hand. It was Spencer, which surprized me. I always hear him comming, but I had no idea that night. "What's wrong Spencer?" He said almost crying "I am scared mommy." Well Stephanie who usually sleeps from 9 to 2 decided it was time to eat after waking up with the scream also. So I poked Borja and told him to take Spencer and I would take care of Stephanie. YEAH... So what does he do? Puts Spencer in bed with us. NOT what i had in mind.

Anyways I finished nursing, and changed her diaper 3 times. She thought it was time to be cute and play. HUM!!! So she came to our bed also. It went something like this... Borja,on one half of the bed, Spencer, Stephanie, and Me on the other half. I did not sleep at all. Afraid of rolling on top of her, or Spencer rolling on top of her. I was kind of frustrated. The next day when they took naps it was my plan to just sleep, and sleep, and sleep. But when I saw them sleeping I could not help but think what a blessing it is. To be their mother, they are such wonderful children. How amazing it is to know that God has entrusted me to have these special children and raise them. That i have the ability to mold their lives, and have them be an impact for good in this world. When I think of a hero I think of my mother, and how much she has sacrificed. Mothers have a special place in this world, there is no one or nothing that can come close to do what a mother can. Fathers of course have their own special place, howvere it is different. No need to say all I did was watch them sleep and think of how much I love them. I am so grateful I can take time and just look at them. And know that they are mine.

SPRING project...

Well, we though Spring was here, so while we were at Home Depot, we picked up some flowers. We had a lot of fun planting and making our home look pretty. And by we I mean Spencer and I. We came home and I had to feed Stephanie, and Spencer and myself. No need to say it took a while before we could go outside and plant. Spencer was soooo excited to go outside, he kept telling me... "Mommy lets get to work..." So we got to work, and now tomorrow it will be really cold maybe even some snow, so we will have to bring our flowers in, so they don't die... CRAZY WEATHER

Spencer the Handy Man

Daddy had to work this Saturday, and I know I was going crazy if I stayed at home with the kids. So we went to Home Depot, and Spencer built his bird house. The back of it is made out of plexi glass, and it goes on the window. So now he always looks out of his bedroom window to see if there is a bird there already. He did such a good job, hamering and screwing the nails. I had no idea he was that coordinated. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO proud of him.
